Site Manager - Caretaker
Ramsbury Primary School, near Marlborough is looking for a part-time caretaker to work 10-15 hours per week.
We are looking for someone who is a hands-on, proactive person who has excellent maintenance/DIY skills, with a thorough knowledge of health and safety procedures and practices.
The role involves carrying out general maintenance, completing compliance checks, assisting school staff with jobs and ensuring the school buildings are safe and secure. There is also a part-grounds role, which involves the routine tidying of school grounds, as well as directing our contracted grounds maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a caretaking/property maintenance environment, but full training will be provided.

We are a very successful, Ofsted Outstanding one-form entry school situated in a lovely, thriving and supportive village, easily accessible from Swindon (20 minute drive) or East Wiltshire. Visits are welcomed and encouraged.
Required Knowledge and Personal attributes
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Building and premises maintenance skills or assured DIY skills
Work with security/alarms systems
Awareness of relevant industry health and safety policies
Required Personal Qualities:
Friendly and approachable
Excellent organisation skills
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
Salary
Wiltshire Council Grade G - £26,873 (Full Time Equivalent) / £13.93 per hour
More Information
Start date: As soon as possible.
Contract: Fixed Term initially and Part Time.
Term time only (38 weeks per year), plus 2 weeks in the school holidays. 46 total paid weeks, paid equally over 12 months.
